Introduction by Margaret Harris, Director of the Research Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences (RIHSS)

Alastair Dunning from the UK Arts and Humanities Data Service (AHDS), will give a presentation (1 hour), which will be followed by a discussion session (1 hour).

The AHDS is a UK national service funded by the Joint Information Systems Committee and the Arts and Humanities Research Board. The AHDS aids the discovery, creation, and preservation of digital collections in the arts and humanities.

Alastair will outline how the AHDS was set up, focussing its current operational aspects, and evaluation.
